Question: "How do I receive the Holy Spirit and how do I know he is in me?"

Answer: The wording of this question can be very confusing because people use these words

without understanding the true meaning or implications of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I

will therefore divide this into two separate matters. John 3 provides us with the story of

Jesus and Nicodemus and the fact that Nicodemus needed to be born again.

Hebrews 11 is called the chapter of faith and when it comes to salvation, we need to

exercise our faith. We need to believe that if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to

forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. Furthermore we need to

understand that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes us to be born again.
